Boosters are unlocked as you progress through the game and once available can be purchased using buttons when starting a level or inside a level, or with money in the shop. The levels where boosters are unlocked and their functionalities are as follows:

-Level 17: Ball Switcher

This booster adds an additional ball inside Crusoe's ball box, allowing you to swap between 3 balls rather than 2 when choosing which one to shoot.

-Level 38: Beach Ball

This colorful ball acts as a joker of sorts; it can pop any ball as if it shared their color.

-Level 42: Mud Ball

This ball clears a large area of balls where it hits, regardless of their color. Mud Ball can only be used once per level.

-Level 52: Aim Assist (Telescope)

This booster causes the dotted line used to aim the ball to be more visible and extend further, allowing for more accurate shots when bouncing off the walls.

When activated, Switcher and Telescope will last through the level while ball boosters are used up after one shot.

Powerups, like boosters, are unlocked as you play but they differ in how they are used. Crusoe will be joined by friends with special abilities as you progress, and these abilities can be activated for your next shot by tapping on a friend when their power bar is full. They unlock as follows:

-Level 5: Paisley

Power bar is charged by popping red balls. When activated, your next ball will turn into a heart and pop all balls in a small radius where it lands.

-Level 9: Dillon

Power bar is charged by popping yellow balls. When activated, your next shot will throw 3 tennis balls in a spread pattern that pop a small area of balls where they land

-Level 25: Fishy

Power bar is charged by popping blue balls. When activated, your next ball will pop balls in a vertical line when it hits.

-Level 33: Sandy

Power bar is charged by popping green balls. When activated, your next ball will become a boomerang that pops balls in a  horizontal line from where it lands.

If you activate all four powerups at once, you next shot will become a Mud Ball instead. This Mud Ball has the same functionality as the booster Mud Ball, but it can be used as many times in a level as you manage to fill up everyone's power bars.
